An award, and a contest preview

Just a quick Friday blog for two announcements one share and a big fat WHINE!
1. Danyelle gave me this really nice award! My first ever and I really love it. (I even love the graphic. Retro is the way I usually roll.) Thanks Danyelle!

2. I am hosting a contest. Look for the post tonight or tomorrow. It will be a fun writing exercise and is open to all (Non writers included: Who knows? Perhaps you have a secret novelist buried deep inside you?) The prize will be a treasure box. Chock full of wonderful things, and a gift certificate. Make sure to tune in. FUN!

Angie posted a wonderful and *sniff* sad you tube video over at her blog. Check it out! Fodder for writing, great fodder. (I LOVE the word fodder... fodder fodder fodder...okay)

Today is the last day of agent's exclusivity period. No word. Wah, Wah, Wah.

See you laters alligators.

  1. Ooh, it's early yet. I'm sure they'll get back to you! Fingers crossed.

  2. I want to compete in your contest, but more importantly, I really want to read your book(s). I'm a non-writer, but an avid reader. And I love your blog, so I'm sure I'd love your book. I don't want to critique it - just read it :) Then maybe also, we could actually get together one of these days.

  3. Didn't you mention that you had another request for the full though? So if you don't hear from this one by the end of the day, I'd email them and tell them you have another request for the full, and ask if it would be okay to send that out. Might get 'em hopping...either that, or you can move along to the next - win/win. :-)

Good luck - I hope you hear back soon!

  4. Gratz on the award. That is so cool. I will anxiously be awaiting the contest, and you better believe I'm winning it :) Can you feel the enthusiasm? Heh heh. As for the agent, don't sweat it. Remember, thinks happen when they are supposed to, not when we want them to. Keep positive and you just never know what might happen. And if it doesn't work out with that particular one, there are plenty more out there itchin' to take your good writing. They may not know it yet, but they will soon enough.

  5. Congrats on the award! And the days not over until it's over! Keep your fingers crossed a few more hours!

  6. Day's over. Still no word. Craptastic As L&L would say.

  7. *hugs*

    *fingers crossed*

    *toes crossed too*

  8. Agent's loss! But it's still sucky to have to wait and then a big let down.
