A little sugar

How much can things change? It's a question I've learned not to ask. Things change every moment. Good and bad. The important thing is noticing. It's hard to notice.

I'm glad I notice.

I finished what I thought were light revisions, but I found my novel had some pretty lazy world building, so I tore it down and rebuilt the thing. And it's good. I"m proud of it.

And I'm not working a full time job anymore. I sit here, blogging today from a sunny kitchen, watching my girls eat strawberries, and editing a short story for a literary magazine submission (when I SHOULD be grading mid-term examinations).

I'm happy. This is the life I was craving. Not too different, all it needed was a little sugar.

I'm off to catch up with your blogs!

What's that saying "a spoonful of sugar gets more than a spoonful of vinegar" or something like that!
