Illuminate Me

Light me up on a dim morning
Alone with nothing but the soft hush of leaves
Crumbling and dry, now
and green again

Light me up with color
boastful, crazy orchestra of winter shine
celebration dripping from eaves
and black again

Light me up softly
limit me and draw me close so I can't breath
Against your closed lips I mouth my dreams
and dark again

Illuminate me,
Please.

  4. Lovely. I appreciated the way you ever so slightly hinted at love, but kept it mostly about self discovery. At least, that is how I took the meaning.
